In 1890 a Victorian scientist tells his friends he has built a Time Machine that will take him far into the future. His friends don't believe him.
But then the man vanishes. The Time Traveler eventually returns to tell his friends that he has journeyed nearly a million years into the future to the year 802,701.
He reveals how he discovers a new race of human beings who seem to enjoy a perfect life of leisure.
But the nightmarish truth emerges when the Time Traveler meets a dreaded underworld race of creatures.
