Having made - and lost - yet another fortune before once again escaping from his relentless pursuers, it's time for that most celebrated of Fables (in his own mind, at least to pause and take a moment for some earnest reflection on the wisdom of his actions. Or it would be, if Jack had any acquaintance with the notion of self-doubt. As it is, he's just looking forward to tracking down both a drink and his next chance at getting rich quick.
Naturally, that means that he's about due to fall into the Grand Canyon, meet his double and get a sword stuck through his chest. Or something along those lines. That's the trouble with being Jack of the Tales - life just keeps getting more and more interesting!
